This paper develops a systematic approach to synthesising a range of theories in relation to teaching and learning. Moreover, I discuss how the use of learning styles is a pertinent feature within my pedagogical practice.

Within this work I discuss Piaget, Bruner, Vygotsky and Maslow as examples of theorists whose ideas impact upon my teaching, offering generalisability for the reader to implement across their own practice.
